“Mac” comes from my father—a quiet creative who found joy in painting, photography, and woodworking. He worked with his hands and his eye, never rushing the process, always attentive to detail. “Mallard” comes from a painting he created when I was a small child. It hung prominently in our home for years—a mallard rendered with remarkable precision and framed in richly figured burl wood. It wasn’t just a painting; it was an object of presence.
